5 Simple tips on how to take care your Smartphone's Battery

In the modern world today, our smartphone has become what one might call a needed accessory. We take it with us to the office, and to school, on a vacations – whether in town or out of the country. It’s one of the niftiest gadgets you can get your hands on, able to take photos, play games, check social media sites or read and write on our blogs. But to ensure you can do all this, you need to make sure you take good care of the Lithium-Ion Battery that’s been encased in said phone.
Be sure to follow these 5 simple tips on how to best take care of your battery. Let’s start!

1) Don't overcharge.
Many of us have a habit of plugging in the device at night before bedtime and leaving it to charge overnight. This is one the worst ways to care for your phone! Rechargeable batteries should only take 6 hours or less before it becomes fully charged and overcharging can reduce the capacity of the batteries by making it last for a die faster even when fully charged. So maybe set an alarm to wake yourself up in the middle of the night, just so you can unplug it to be safe. Otherwise – charge a few hours before bedtime and unplug before you head to sleep.

2) Charge the battery when at low battery level.
Admit it, some of us charge the phone when the battery is completely drained. But the best way to take care of your battery is to charge it when it’s nearly empty, rather than when it’s flat out dead.

3) Do not turn off the phone while charging.
You heard it right. The battery should be charged while the phone is on and not the other way around. The reason for that is that rebooting the phone will actually draw more power during start up.

4) Avoid removing the phone while charging.
Geez! I admit, I always do this myself, basically removing the phone from charging so I can use it for a call then putting it back. That one is a really big no, no as it could disrupt the ability of the battery to recharge. It would be best to have it continuously charging, rather than halting it midway.

5) Use compatible charger.
You have to make sure to use a compatible charger to refuel your phone's battery. And if your phone is capable of using a fast charger, even better! You can check if it qualifies as a fast charger by its amp output. Fast chargers can be 1.5A or 2.0A (amp output is written in small letters on the charger after the Volts - V). But if you’re in the market for one and want an ultra-fast charger, I would recommend to use it with the Magneto Magnetic charging cable. It has 2.4A output  – so imagine how fast it can supply power to the load compared to standard cable chargers and other fast cable chargers in the market. Aside from that, it is 10 times more durable than original cables. It’s also good news for IOS users because it has no more incompatibility issues as it is MFI certified by Apple. Pretty great, right?
